Google URL Shortener at goo.gl is a service that takes long URLs and squeezes them into fewer characters to make a link that is easier to share, tweet, or email to friends.

Now some people might make the case that because Google has all of this data they are eventually able to sort it out back of the house and it’s not an issue at all. However, by creating all of this unnecessary complexity at the URL level, Google is intentionally making the web a more difficult place for less sophisticated crawlers, spiders, and search engines to deal with. Basically they are laying down land mines to slow or trip up the competition. But that’s not something we would ever see come from the home of lava lamps and bean bags chairs, right? Right …

Let’s first understand what do follow and no follow means in link building. In your back-linking campaign its eminent that you would be doing it very often while writing html codes for your blog or website. You should have knowledge of these terms when you are doing so much hard work for for your website/blog. Remember, 80% work is done off site in search engine optimization. Back in days when there was nothing called nofollow spammers used to comment on all blogs and leave their ugly unwanted links. There was no way to fight that. Then later on Google implemented a “no follow” tag in order to tell search engine spiders whether or not to follow a link. To tell search engine spiders to Not crawl a link you just simply need to add the following code to your HTML code rel=”nofollow” otherwise if you want search engine spider to crawl the link you just simply don’t use the rel=”nofollow” tag. Pretty simple right?
