Let’s first understand what do follow and no follow means in link building. In your back-linking campaign its eminent that you would be doing it very often while writing html codes for your blog or website. You should have knowledge of these terms when you are doing so much hard work for for your website/blog. Remember, 80% work is done off site in search engine optimization. Back in days when there was nothing called nofollow spammers used to comment on all blogs and leave their ugly unwanted links. There was no way to fight that. Then later on Google implemented a “no follow” tag in order to tell search engine spiders whether or not to follow a link. To tell search engine spiders to Not crawl a link you just simply need to add the following code to your HTML code rel=”nofollow” otherwise if you want search engine spider to crawl the link you just simply don’t use the rel=”nofollow” tag. Pretty simple right?

But there are pros and cons for every good thing. This time the genuine commenters on the blog got the hit and the result of the the whole community of genuine bloggers who read various blogs and comment there does not get the back link advantage.  So in simple terms your comments give you backlinks if you have posted that comment on a dofollow blog/forum.

Now lets define what forum is. Forum or message board is a place where discussions on related topics take place. It is more like an online discussion site. Forum can also help you boost your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and generate more traffic. You would want to take advantage of the signature links available when you participate or when you leave a comment in forums just follow each forum rules, and please don’t spam comment them.
